December/January 2008/2009: Winter Fun

The biggest snow and cold we had since I live in Vancouver.
Jeff shovelling snow in the driveway the Sunday before Christmas
Ice floating down the Fraser River - never seen that before in 10 years I have been in Vancouver
The ducks weren't pleased

Jeff shovelling snow again on Christmas Eve
Surrey covered in snow on Christmas Eve
Cars are fully burried by snow
Snowshowing up Black Mountain in wonder full powder - that's fun on Dec 29
Only 45min drive away from home :-)
And icy cold wind blowing on top of Black mountain with visibilities near zero
Still having fun
And were rewarded with a beautiful sunset on the slow drive home
Another day in the local mountains this time with sunshine- How Sound Crest Trail on New Years Eve
Lots of snow up their and good power - we are the first people up the trail- AWESOME
Lookout near St Marks overlooking Howe Sound towards Tantalus Mtn range
Looking west towards Georgia Straight
Frozen world
One more time up Black Mountain to Eagle Bluffs on Jan 03
Agian visibility on the top is not great and the trails gets covered in fresh snow very quickly
